Essay writing and Tapas
Progress at last on the essay front, well the pressure of deadline (next Monday) is having the desired effect. Yesterday I completely restructured the thing and am at last feeling relatively pleased with the results. I am up to 4000 (of 7000) and have plenty of ideas about what else to write to fill the still large word gap. I shall be taking as much time as possible this week to get the thing finished so I am not working up to the deadline (you heard it here first, I am not going to be finishing it off next Sunday night!)
After a rainy start, bank holiday Monday turned out pretty ok with a sunny if slightly cool weekend. Fresh air was in order so we went for a lovely walk in a local park before finding ourselves in a very nice Tapas bar for lunch and a couple of glasses of white wine.
Back home, Arsenal were on TV and thankfully beat Sunderland, who sadly are relegated and haven’t won all season, to keep the hopes of a 4th place finish alive. Amazingly this is the lowest finish teen son can remember since he began supporting them. Of course I can remember some times that they finished a lot lower than 4th.
So to the short working week, and today is one of meetings (3 of them), then out tonight for an Italian meal to celebrate my sister in law’s mums birthday (any excuse). Rumour has it Buddy Holly is the cabaret act tonight - thought he was dead, but you live and learn!
