At last……..

We have a warm and sunny weekend, and I have actually switched off my central heating! I can’t remember a year when we still needed the warmth of it almost into June. Speaking of which we are now in to my favorite month. I just love the long days of June; last night it didn’t get dark until 9.30, and was light, bright and sunny when I first woke early this morning. We were married in June (23rd), which was no accident and given the choice I would go on holiday during this month. With Teen son now 15 it won’t be long before we can again go away on a June holiday.
Today is the Derby, a horserace held in Epsom, that hubby makes an annual pilgrimage to along with some ex-workmates and his dad. Usually they go off on an arranged trip on a bus, but for some reason this year that hasn’t happened so my brother has taken them and I will be going later to bring them home. I am hoping hubby will be richer on the journey home, but some how doubt that will be the case; I am not keen on gambling, but it is only once a year and it is his own money!
My day will be spent doing more work on the garden, taking teen son for a hair cut and then doing a bit of ironing in front of the final England friendly match before the World Cup starts next week. In all I am hoping for a peaceful relaxing day before I head off to fight my way through the race day traffic!
